    3.Objective of the scheme:<\/strong> Assistance to disabled persons (Divyangjan) according to their age group and disability and help to purchase equipment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    4. Beneficiary category:<\/strong> Visually handicapped, Low vision, hearing impaired, and orthopedically handicapped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    5. Eligibility criteria:<\/strong> 1. Submit the application in the prescribed format to the concerned District Social Welfare Office, Zilla Parishad and Assistant Commissioner Social Welfare Office, Mumbai Urban and Mumbai Suburban.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2. Applicant should have monthly income <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    a 100% assistance and equipment cost less than 1500\/-<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    b 1500\/- to 2000\/- assistance and 50% of cost of equipment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    3..Applicant should have minimum 40% disability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    4. Applicant should be domiciled in Maharashtra (Maharashtra Domicile).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    6.Benefits to be provided<\/strong>: Hearing Aids for Handicapped, Crutches, Tricycles, Calipers, Wheel Chairs for Orthopedically Handicapped. 3000\/- for blind tape recorders and blank cassettes for educational purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    7.Application Procedure:<\/strong> A medical certificate clearly mentioning the disability should be attached with the application for prosthetic limb. Prosthetics\/devices required for that disability should be clearly mentioned in the application. The applicant should mention the form of assistance received from this office in the past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
